OPINION: Treece, Callaway have leadership skills Washington County needs
I spent seven years as a city engineer and the public works director in Cornelius, followed by 10 years as an assistant city manager in Hillsboro. During my career, I had extensive opportunities to work with Pam Treece and Steve Callaway and saw firsthand the qualities that make them strong community leaders.
Pam brings valuable executive leadership experience from both the public and private sectors. I’ve seen her bring people together, facilitate meaningful discussions and help turn different perspectives into practical solutions. She understands how local government works and the importance of building trust, transparency and collaboration.
Steve shares that commitment to thoughtful, balanced representation and serving the needs of his community.
At a time when political polarization is pulling people apart, Washington County needs leaders who listen, work across differences and focus on getting things done. Based on my experience working with both of them, I believe Pam and Steve will bring the judgment, integrity and collaborative leadership our county needs.
I encourage you to join me in voting for Pam Treece for County chair and Steve Callaway for County commissioner.
