OPINION: Treece understands relationships between governments, partners
As council president for the city of Sherwood, I’ve had the opportunity to see the importance of strong partnerships between our cities and Washington County. Pam Treece understands that local communities have different needs and that good government depends on listening, communicating and working together.
I also appreciate the breadth of knowledge Pam brings to her work. Her understanding of budgets and financial decision-making, combined with her leadership background, gives her a practical perspective on the challenges facing our communities. Additionally, Pam’s work in economic development has given her valuable insight into the relationships between businesses, local governments and community partners.
These experiences have shaped Pam’s approach to leadership and her ability to bring people together around shared goals. From my perspective, that collaborative approach is an important part of working effectively across Washington County. Her work across different sectors has also given her a broad understanding of how decisions made at the county level can affect individual communities and the people who live and work in them.
I hope you will join me in voting for Pam Treece for Washington County chair this November.
