OPINION: Treece has skills, experience to guide county

Hillsboro News Times

As election day 2026 draws near, I am supporting Washington County Commissioner Pam Treece in the race for the Commission chair.

My 30 years of living and working in Washington County have enabled me to see Pam in a variety of leadership roles throughout the community where her many contributions to the health and vitality of our neighborhoods, citizens, cities, schools, businesses and other partners are measurable and documented.

Her engagement in workforce development initiatives has translated into higher paying jobs, more revenue for governmental services and a strategic plan for setting priorities. I know Pam to be thoughtful, thorough, collaborative, bright, hard working, energetic, accountable and experienced.

Pam has the best skills and experience to guide Washington County into the future, and she fully understands the full span of the county’s responsibilities and current challenges. She is a deliberate decision maker, a good listener and a generous thought leader. Please join me and vote for Pam Treece for Washington County Commission chair as soon as your ballot arrives.
